Janis has called Friendswood home since her family moved here in 1951. One of eight children she enjoyed the best that Friendswood life gave to kids, freedom to roam and play, horseback riding every day, a strong ethic of education, and a commitment of volunteerism to serve the community.

Austin was born and raised in Friendswood, Texas. He was a 12-year senior at FISD and continued his education at Texas A&M University where he graduated with a master’s in financial management.

A lifelong Texas resident, Jill moved to Friendswood in 2020 with her husband, Joe, and children, Ava (Friendswood High School Class of 2025) and Sam (Class of 2027).
